Paul Broome, a 55-year-old from England, was recently laid to rest in a unique Snickers-themed coffin. Known for his quick wit and mischievous sense of humor, Broome had often joked about wanting such a coffin, and his family ensured his wish was fulfilled. The coffin, designed to resemble a Snickers bar, featured the phrase "I'm nuts," a nod to Broome's playful nature.
Broome, originally from South London, was a devoted supporter of Crystal Palace FC. His coffin also displayed the club's logo, reflecting his passion for the team. He had amassed a collection of over 40 Crystal Palace shirts and cherished attending matches at Selhurst Park with his brothers.
The funeral procession passed by Broome's favorite café in Bognor Regis, where friends gathered to pay their respects. Many wore custom tribute T-shirts and applauded as he made his final journey. According to funeral arranger Ali Leggo, "The family received nothing but positive feedback from those who attended, with many commenting on how the personal touches made the service a true celebration of Paul's life."
Broome worked as a care assistant, helping adults with learning disabilities. His family and friends remember him as one of life's true characters, and his farewell reflected his unique personality.
