Lima, OH (WIMA) -- Lima Firefighter Matt Hammons continues to receive accolades for his role in saving the life of a young boy in a house fire last November.
State Fire Marshal Jeff Hussey was on hand for a special recognition back on Friday.
Hammons told us that he and 6-year-old Landon Douglas have formed a special bond.
With this statewide recognition, Hammons is now up for consideration at the state Fire Marshal's Hall of Fame ceremony in September.
