Lima Fire officials deal with 2 major incidents this past weekend

Lima, OH (WIMA) -- A young child playing with a lighter is what apparently led to a house fire in Lima on Sunday morning.

The Lima Fire Department was called to the 100 block of North Woodlawn Avenue just after 10am.

The fire spread through the second floor.

All inside were able to escape and no one was taken to the hospital.

A vacant house that caught on fire on Kibby Street late Saturday night is being ruled as suspicious in nature.

Lima Fire crews responded to 624 West Kibby just after 10:30pm.

The house was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.

A few hours after leaving the scene, the department was called back with reports of a fire starting up again on the second floor.
