Lima, OH (WIMA) -- The Lima Rotary Club has announced that it has acquired all the land it needs to move forward with the construction of the Lima Rotary Community Stage and Park in downtown Lima.
The property the club now owns extends from Spring Street to Elm Street, and is bounded by Union Street on the east and the backs of the Main Street buildings on the west.
The amphitheater and park’s projected cost of $2-point-2 million dollars will be funded in a variety of ways, and part of that includes a donation from the Husky Lima Refinery worth $20-thousand dollars.
The 800 seat amphitheater will feature a sloped AstroTurf lawn with a canopy over the audience area.
