Lima, OH (WIMA) -- The Lima Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash which occurred on Jervis Road at the intersection of Lincoln Highway on Saturday morning.
A pick-up truck driven by 48 year-old Michael Schimmoeller of Lima
was traveling southbound and failed to stop at the stop sign at Lincoln Highway.
The truck struck a ditch.
Schimmoeller was taken to Mercy Health Saint Ritaās.
He was not wearing a seat belt and is suspected of using a cell phone at the time
of the crash.
Alcohol is also suspected to be a factor.
