LPD and Municipal Court Cleared due to Bomb Threat on Wed morning

Lima, OH (WIMA) -- If you were going through downtown Lima at some point on Wednesday morning, you may have seen people and officers outside of the police station and Municipal Court.

Police informed local media outlets at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon about a bomb threat that was received at the police department.

Precautionary measures were taken on the Davenport Hall of Justice.

Lieutenant Andy Green explained why not very much information was released to the press, saying it was due to the integrity of the ongoing and active investigation.

The all-clear was given, and people were allowed to return to work after about an hour.
