Lafayette, OH (WIMA) -- A home explosion claimed the life of an elderly woman in eastern Allen County on Thursday morning.
Gladys Ward, of 2240 North Phillips Road in Lafayette, died in the explosion.
Her husband, Robert Ward, died back in May after a brush fire occured on the property.
The explosion destroyed the home, blew out windows, scattered debris, and caused damage to a neighboring home.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Office, Lafayette-Jackson Fire Department, and the Bath Township Fire Department all responded.
