Lima, OH (WIMA) - The Village of Ada was named as the 9th Safest City in Ohio by the website HomeSnacks.net.
The website looked at the numbers from the FBI's report of crime from September of 2017, instead of going off surveys and public polls.
Violent crime in Ada is 94% lower than the average rate in Ohio, and its 96% lower than the rest of the country.
Ada Police Chief Michael Harnishfeger credits the rankings to the excellent relationship between the Ada community and police department.
