Lima, OH (WIMA) - The Lima Police Department has received the Cops Hiring Grant Award that they applied for back in June.
The grant gives LPD $375,000 over the next 3 years.
Chief Kevin Martin says it will be a very beneficial boost for them moving forward.
The grant gives them the ability to hire 3 new officers for about the same cost as hiring just 1 additional officer.
