Lima, OH (WIMA) -- At the request of Lima Mayor David Berger, City Law Director Tony Geiger has filed a lawsuit against the owners, operators, and liquor permit holders of the Gas Station Bar.
The move stems from the July 5th shooting that occurred inside the downtown bar, resulting in the death of 36 year old Davohn Godsey.
The lawsuit is part of ongoing efforts by the City to shut down and clean up problem establishments that are operating in Lima.
The lawsuit seeks an abatement and a permanent injunction, as well as damages, against the Gas Station Bar, using the Ohio Nuisance Abatement statute.
