Possible Local School Threat Thwarted

Lima, OH (WIMA) -- Another area resident has been arrested for making a threat toward a local school, but this time, an actual weapon was found.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint on Wednesday night that 19 year old Tristan Ascura of Lima, told some Elida High School students,  “Don’t come to school on September 1st 20-18, I’m gonna shoot it up".

Ascura was taken into custody at his residence a few hours later.

An AR-15 Rifle and more than 500 rounds of ammunition was discovered and seized by authorities.

He is currently being held in jail on a charge of Inducing Panic.
