Lima, OH (WIMA) -- Many voices were heard at a city council safety services meeting on Monday night.

The meeting, which lasted well over 2 hours, covered more discussions on deciding on an independent or outside body to investigate complaints brought forth against actions by Lima Police officers.

The Committee chair is 6th Ward councilor Derry Glenn.

A guest speaker was Diane Rogers, a retired police officer from Fort Wayne, IN.

She talked about her experiences as an African-American female officer, and how she was able to relate to the community she lived in.
