Lima, OH (WIMA) -- Rachael Gilroy is no longer the Allen County Treasurer.
She has been appointed as the interim Allen County Auditor by the county Commissioners, during an emergency meeting held early Monday morning.
Rhonda Eddy-Stienecker stepped down from that position at the end of last week.
Gilroy will run for the Auditor position full-time in November.
Evelyn Shaffner, the chief deputy of finance in the County Treasurer’s Office, was approved by the commissioners to take over as interim Treasurer.
The County Republican Party’s central executive committee will still be issuing appointments for the Treasurer and Auditor jobs.
