Lima, OH (WIMA) -- Lima Police have put out a nationwide bulletin asking for help in finding 4 children taken by their mother and her boyfriend who is considered dangerous.
The mother, Marianne Merritt, has no custodial rights, and they are apparently heading to the state of Florida.
The children are 13, 12, 9, and 8 years old.
The vehicle they may be in is a white Voyager, with Ohio plates F M Q 3 1 7 5.
Police also told us about inquiries as to why an Amber Alert has not been issued, saying there are certain criteria that need to be met before a case can fall under Amber Alert status.
