Lima, OH (WIMA) -- Sergeant Paula Strickler spent her final day as an officer at the Lima Police Department on Tuesday.
She decided to call it a career after 37 years of service.
Strickler has been honored by the community for her work over the years, especially with her involvement in cases against the elderly and the disabled.
Earlier this month, Strickler became the first officer to receive the newly renamed Jack Somerville Law Officer of the Year award.
