Lima, OH (WIMA) - The Shawnee Fire Department will be doing maintenance and flow testing of fire hydrants starting May 1st, and the work will continue throughout the month.
Water may become discolored, which is normal for this type of maintenance.
Be sure cold water flows for a few minutes until it is clear before using it for laundry.
The maintenance helps keep the community fire protection water system at its best.
