Lima, OH (WIMA) - A former Miss Kentucky pageant contestant was back in Allen County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday.
Kia Hampton was sentenced to three years of probation on a third degree felony charge of Illegal Conveyance of Drugs on to a Specified Government Facility.
Hampton attempted to smuggle a balloon filled with marijuana to a male inmate at the Allen-Oakwood Correctional Facility in May of last year.
A pre-sentence investigation stated that a prison sentence was not appropriate since Hampton had no prior criminal record.
