Ohio Redistricting Reform Passes

Lima, OH (WIMA) - Through unanimous bipartisan support, the Ohio Senate voted to pass Substitute Senate Joint Resolution 5.

The bill, sponsored by Lima State Senator Matt Huffman, will reform the process by which drawing of Ohio's congressional districts is made.

It will also keep communities together by limiting divisions that currently cut through counties, townships, and municipalities.

The next part of the plan is to create a 10-year map that will require significant support by both parties as well as minority party votes.
