Thanksgiving Travel Numbers Expected to Reach Record High

Lima, OH (WIMA) - Thanksgiving travel numbers are expected to rise again this year.

AAA Ohio says as over 2 million Ohio residents plan on traveling over 50 miles over the rivers and through the woods.

The increase is 3.5% in Ohio from last year and the highest numbers since 2005.

With most people planning on driving to their destinations, higher gas prices are not expected to keep drivers from limiting their travel plans.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding motorists to buckle up, never drive impaired, and always follow traffic laws.
