New Drug Overdose Response Program

Lima, OH (WIMA) - The Partnership for Violence Free Families is working with the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties to start a drug overdose response program.

Rick Skilliter, the Drug Overdose Survivor Support Coordinator and former Bluffton Police Chief, said volunteers are important to have on standby when incidents are reported.

Volunteers must be at least 19 years old, and all volunteers will be trained to respond to any local calls of an overdose, to help families with support and services moving forward.
