Deputies involved in SWAT Team Fatal Shooting will not Face Charges

Lima, OH (WIMA) -- Another press conference on Wednesday morning revealed more details of Allen County Sheriff's Deputies exchanging gunfire with a man in a SWAT team raid on Lima's north end back on August 3rd.

Deputies Barry Friemoth and Josh Bayer will not face criminal charges, as Putnam County Prosecutor Gary Lammers explained that the officers gave plenty of warnings, and executed flash bang devices, before entering the residence.

57 year-old Keith Burkholder fired at least 2 shots at deputies. He was shot and killed.

A total of 11 shots were fired in the incident.

The deputies could return to duty in the next few days.
