Lima, OH (WIMA) - Local officials and those that battle addictions and emergency mental health situations took time to honor local first responders on Tuesday.
The Allen County Commissioners and the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties said thanks with an official proclamation.
One program that was praised in the fight against drug addictions is a local "quick response" team made up of certified recovery supporters and people who have battled addictions, designed to assist law enforcement.
Numbers discussed did show that overdose cases are on the way down.
