Lima, OH (WIMA) - On Sunday, March 4th, 44 Girl Scouts from Western Ohio will receive the Gold Award in a ceremony at Sinclair Community College in Dayton.
A handful of the recipients reside in the Lima area including Melanie Butterfield, Madison Green, Hailey Manuel, and Haley Siegrist.
Each of the girls receiving the award are working on projects to help their local communities.
Receiving the Gold Award in Girl Scouts is the highest and most prestigious honor one can earn while in grades 9 through 12.
