South Korea is sending a message to Russia after a military aircraft allegedly violated their air space. According to Seoul's defense agency, South Korea fired hundreds of warning shots at the Russian plane that was conducting a joint air-patrol with China. Russia's Defense Ministry says it did not recognize South Korea's air identification zone over the island of Dodko, which Japan also claims control of air space. The ministry also accused the two South Korean F-16 fighter planes of conducting "unprofessional maneuvers." The Chinese Foreign Ministry says the area was not territorial airspace and that all countries are free to fly in it.
