(Undated)  --  Longtime Elvis Presley drummer D.J. Fontana is dead at the age of 87. 

The last remaining member of Presley's group, Fontana passed away in his sleep on Wednesday night, according to a Facebook post by his son. 

Fontana played drums with Presley from 1954 to 1968, playing on the King of Rock and Roll's most well-known hits, including "Hound Dog," "Jailhouse Rock," "Hreartbreak Hotel" and "Don't Be Cruel." 

Fontana was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
