(Undated) -- Today is World Mental Health Day.
The observance is meant to raise awareness for mental health education, and advocate against the social stigma surrounding mental health problems.
It was first celebrated in 1992.
Around one in 25 Americans have lived with a serious mental health problem, such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or depression.
The most common mental illness is anxiety disorder.
