After hearing about what Phil Mickelson did on Saturday at the US Open on one of the holes, I had to check it out for myself.
I did, and honestly, it wasn't as shocking as it was being made out to be.
"Oh the humanity!" "What was he thinking?" "That ruins the integrity of the game!"
He was frustrated, and he just wanted to move on. He explained afterward that he knew exactly what he was doing by striking a bad putt that was continuing to roll on the green.
Take the 2-stroke penalty and move on.
