"Taste of the Fair" is something that's been going on at the Allen County Fair the past few years.
A day is selected, and certain food vendors take part, in offering sample sizes of their delectable delights for just 2-dollars per serving.
So, here's what I had on Tuesday.
TATCHOS: Tater Tot potatoes made nacho-style, with beef, bacon, chives, cheese, and a few other ingredients.
CHICKEN TENDER AND FRIES: Homemade fresh cut fries with a chicken tender.
BBQ CHICKEN SLIDER: Choice of Chicken or Pulled Pork, and I went with the chicken.
FRITO PIE: A fan favorite from one of the BBQ trailers; a mix of meat, beans, cheese, and Fritos corn chips, and you can top it with your choice of BBQ sauce.
HALF TENDERLOIN SLIDER: How can you go to a far and not have a breaded terderlion sandwich?
REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER ICE CREAM: The perfect dessert (one scoop) on a hot day at the fair!
I didn't go as exotic as I have in the past, passing this year on donut burgers or deep fried candy bars.
It was all good, and it hit the spot for a late afternoon lunch!
