August 20th is set aside each year to recognize the invention of the Radio.
The late-19th century invention revolutionized communications and entertainment around the world.
Originally used much like a telegraph to send bits of information, the first broadcast stations started popping up in the 1920s.
My guess is that the likes of Tesla, Marconi, and Edison never imagined we'd now be listening on our computers, tablets, and our cell phones!!
