I was expecting to see some kind of shenanigans in this year's game.
The NFL had a pretty crummy year from a PR standpoint, but a lot of that was brought on by the players themselves.
I was thinking that something disrespectful was going to be done during the National Anthem.
It didn't happen. The teams stood united, no one kneeled, and Pink, who I'm not a fan of, belted it out pretty good, and again, did nothing disrespectful.
OK, what about during the game, with a streaker or something like that.
Didn't see it.
Security was top-notch in Minneapolis, and I'll bet the single-digit temps and well-below zero wind chills might have helped as well. Although, everyone was nice and cozy in the relatively new indoor palace.
Now, something would surely happen during the Halftime show, featuring Justin Timberlake.
Not really. And, actually, from a production standpoint, I thought it may have been the best ever.
Timberlake kept it relatively classy as well.
Man, he was all over that stadium for the 10 to 15 minutes he had to fill!
And, he included a nice tribute to the late Prince, right there in his hometown.
I guess the real letdown came from the TV ads. There were a few that made me chuckle, but nothing like in years past.
Overall, nice job, NFL.
And the Patriots didn't win, so that was alright with me, too.
