Lima, OH (WIMA) - The city of Delphos is receiving an interest-free loan from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to improve screening at its wastewater treatment plant.
The project will modify the headworks building, replace two existing influent screens with two new mechanical screens, and add a second train of new membrane biological filtration.
The treatment plant discharges in to Jennings Creek.
The Water Pollution Control Loan Fund provides below-market interest rate loans for communities to improve their wastewater treatment systems.
The interest free, $4.57 million loan will save Delphos an estimated $2.86 million.
