Growing up a Buckeye fan (and will be till the day I die), it's always a thrill to be around those that wore the scarlet and gray at one time in their life.
This past weekend, I had another one of those opportunities, and it was not only a great time, but it was for a great cause.
I went to the JR Memorial Buckeye Cruise for a Cure at Mimi's on Indian Lake in Russells Point.
I got to go up on stage and introduce all of the former Buckeyes that were on hand to help raise money for the Urban and Shelley Meyer Fund for Cancer Research.
We also heard from representatives from the James Cancer Center, and even met a 2-time cancer survivor.
There were live and silent auctions, as well as live music, and plenty of food and drink.
Thanks to everyone involved, all the organizers of the event, and to all those who came out!
