Lima, OH (WIMA) - The city and county transportation system, the Regional Transit Authority, is seeking funding so they can keep their operations up and running.
Supporters of RTA filed the room at their latest Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday.
Over 600 signatures were recently collected on a petition showing support.
Despite being asked to table any vote on a potential quarter-percent tax levy by the County Commissioners, the board went ahead with a vote.
6 members present split 3-3, but one absent member's proxy vote was a yes vote.
The board also heard from a PR firm that recently did on-line and phone surveys asking people about RTA services and if they would support a levy at the ballot box.
