So, I celebrated another birthday this past weekend.
I know I've been moaning about getting a year older, but hanging out with family and friends the past few days has made me realize to be more appreciative of things.
It make me think, too, of all the people who didn't make it to 44.
A lot of musical artists over the years, actors, writers.
I have my share of health issues, but managing and dealing with them is a part of life.
I still have both of my parents around, and my sister has provided me the privilege of being an uncle to a 6 year-old boy.
I have a job, one that I really enjoy.
I don't have a lot of "toys", but I have high speed internet and running water at home, so who needs much more than that, right?
I'm learning to take things in stride, better your best, and roll with the changes (okay, I stole that last one from a classic rock song).
