City of Lima Against Senate Bill 331

Lima, OH (WIMA) -- The city of Lima is joining a lawsuit against the state of Ohio, as they voice their objection to Senate Bill 331.

The bill, that went into effect on March 21st, allows wireless service providers to attach communications equipment to sidewalks, streets, traffic lights, and utility poles without getting consent from local governments.

Mayor Dave Berger spoke about the issue and the pending lawsuit at his weekly press conference on Wednesday.

The mayor said they're hoping to have further talks on the issue with new State Senator Matt Huffman.
