Lima Council Committees Discuss Security and Parking Issues

Lima, OH (WIMA) - The finance committee of Lima city council met Tuesday night to discuss court security officer role changes.

The committee decided to reduce the number of officers to 6, with room for flexibility.

Committee chairman Teresa Adams spoke about what the committee decided.

The process will happen through attrition, and could take a year or more to fully see its effect.

The public works committee of Lima city council also met Tuesday night to talk about parking regulations and possible changes to parking space on certain properties.

First ward councilman Todd Gordon was the chairman of the meeting, and discussed the single change the committee made, though it may not be the last change.

Gordon also said that the ordinances being talked about do not affect any current regulations, so any changes would be included in any new rules created.
