Over Two Dozen ODOT Plows Involved In Traffic Accidents During January

(Sandusky, OH) -- The Ohio Department of Transportation is asking drivers to use caution around snowplows following several accidents this month.

ODOT officials released a list of accidents involving plows following an incident on the Ohio Turnpike where 40 vehicles were damaged and 12 people hurt by debris kicked up from a snow plow.

The driver of that plow has been placed on leave pending the results of a mandatory drug test.

ODOT says that 17 plow trucks have been involved in an accident this month.

Officials say plow operators have a limited field of vision, and if a driver can't see the plows' side-view mirrors, then the plow can't see you.
