>>LIMA PROTEST

(LIMA, OH) -- LIMA SAW A LARGE AND PEACEFUL PROTEST ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON AS SEVERAL HUNDRED PEOPLE MARCHED DOWN MARKET STREEET. LIMA POLICE CHIEF KEVIN MARTIN SAYS THAT FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK, LIMA’S PROTEST WAS JUST THAT, A PROTEST. THE CHIEF SAYS THAT HE MET WITH ONE OF THE ORGANIZERS OF THE MARCH AND THEY WORKED TO TOGETHER TO MAKE SURE THINGS STAYED SAFE.

>>COLUMBUS CURFEW

(COLUMBUS, OH) -- THE MAYOR COLUMBUS HAS RESCINDED HIS ORDER FOR A CONTINUING 10 P.M. CURFEW.

THE DECISION BY COLUMBUS MAYOR ANDREW GINTHER CAME SATURDAY, THE DAY AFTER A FEDERAL LAWSUIT WAS FILED THAT CHALLENGED THE ORDER BECAUSE ACTS OF VANDALISM HAVE LARGELY DISSIPATED. GINTHER SAID HE WAS PLEASED WITH WHAT HE CALLED BETTER COMMUNICATION AND GREATER COLLABORATION BETWEEN POLICE AND PROTESTERS IN RECENT DAYS.

>>ZOO RE-OPENINGS

(COLUMBUS, OH) -- ZOOS AROUND OHIO HAVE SET THEIR RE-OPENING DATES, BUT SOME ARE BEGINNING WITH CERTAIN RESTRICTIONS.

THE CINCINNATI ZOO WILL OPEN TO MEMBERS ONLY ON WEDNESDAY AND TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC WITH RESERVATIONS THE FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY. THE COLUMBUS ZOO AND AQUARIUM IS RE-OPENING TO MEMBERS ON FRIDAY AND TO ALL GUESTS ON MONDAY OF NEXT WEEK. THE TOLEDO ZOO WILL OPEN TO MEMBERS ONLY ON FRIDAY; CLEVELAND METROPARKS ZOO AND THE AKRON ZOO WILL OPEN JUNE 17TH. ALSO, CEDAR POINT AND KINGS ISLAND HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE OK TO OPEN ON JUNE 19TH BUT NEITHER PARK HAS MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT YET AND MAY NOT BE READY TO OPEN THAT SOON.

>>COVID-19 QUIET WEEKEND IN ALLEN COUNTY

(LIMA, OH) -- EVEN WITH THE LOCAL ECONOMY BACK UP AND RUNNING AT MOSTLY FULL STRENGTH AND MORE TESTING, THE WEEK THAT JUST ENDED SAW LITTLE IN THE WAY OF COVID-19 IN ALLEN COUNTY AS THERE WERE ONLY 10 NEW CASES REPORTED WITH TWO HOSPITALIZATIONS AND ONE DEATH.

>>WARRANTS ISSUED FOR LIMA DOUBLE MURDER

(LIMA, OH) -- LIMA POLICE CONTINUE TO SEARCH FOR TWO SUSPECTS IN A DOUBLE MURDER FROM LAST WEDNESDAY.

FELONY WARRANTS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR 32-YEAR OLD CLINTON OWENS JUNIOR OF LIMA AND 31-YEAR OLD MICHELLE ALVES OF LIMA. CLINTON’S WARRANT IS FOR HAVING WEAPONS UNDER DISABILITY AND MICHELLE’S WARRANT IS FOR MURDER.

ON WEDNESDAY AT APPROXIMATELY 8:07AM, LIMA POLICE OFFICERS WERE DISPATCHED TO 413 SOUTH ATLANTIC AVENUE AND FOUND 38-YEAR OLD TARISSA SANDERS AND 43-YEAR OLD CHARLES SANDERS SHOT TO DEATH.

(HAMPTON, GA) -- KEVIN HARVICK CONTINUED HIS DOMINATION AT ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY WITH A COMFORTABLE WIN IN THE FOLDS OF HONOR QUIKTRIP 500, HIS THIRD CAREER CUP SERIES VICTORY AT THE TRACK. HARVICK LED NEARLY HALF OF THE RACE'S 325 LAPS AND FINISHED WELL CLEAR OF RUNNER-UP KYLE BUSCH, WITH MARTIN TRUEX JR., RYAN BLANEY AND DENNY HAMLIN COMPLETING THE TOP FIVE.

>>MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT EXPECTED TO ALLOW AROUND EIGHT-THOUSAND SPECTATORS

(DUBLIN, OH) -- THE MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT IN DUBLIN THIS JULY WILL BE ALLOWED TO HAVE FANS IN ATTENDANCE AFTER RECEIVING APPROVAL FROM GOVERNOR MIKE DEWINE. MEMORIAL OFFICIALS CONFIRMED YESTERDAY THEY PLAN TO RELEASE SPECIFIC DETAILS ABOUT FAN ATTENDANCE THIS WEEK. SOURCES SAY THE TOURNAMENT WILL OPERATE AT ABOUT 20 PERCENT CAPACITY, WHICH MEANS AROUND EIGHT-THOUSAND SPECTATORS ON-SITE AT ANY GIVEN TIME. MCGREGOR TOOK TO TWITTER IMMEDIATELY AFTER UFC 250 ON SATURDAY TO DECLARE HE HAS "DECIDED TO RETIRE FROM FIGHTING."
