>>ALLEN COUNTY CASES OF COVID-19

(LIMA, OH) -- THE ALLEN COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT REPORTED NINE NEW CONFIRMED CASES OF COVID-19 YESTERDAY, BRINGING THE COUNTY’S TOTAL CASE COUNT TO 79. THAT MATCHED THE HIGHEST SINGLE DAY CASE COUNT. THERE WERE NO NEW HOSPITALIZATIONS REPORTED, WITH THE TOTAL REMAINING AT 32. THE DEATH TOTAL REMAINED AT 11.

>>STATEWIDE SUNDAY CASES

(COLUMBUS, OH) -- HEALTH OFFICIALS SAY THE NUMBER OF CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES IN OHIO CLIMBED BY NEARLY 2,500 OVER THE WEEKEND. THE SPIKE IN OHIO'S CASES WAS, IN LARGE PART, DUE TO TEST RESULTS OF THE STATE’S PRISON POPULATION, RELEASED OVER THE WEEKEND. THE STATE ANNOUNCED THAT 2,400 PRISONERS HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19, 1,800 OF THEM IN THE MARION CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION.

(COLUMBUS, OH) -- AS STATES ACROSS THE COUNTRY WORK TOWARD REOPENING, GOVERNORS SAY THE KEY IS WIDE-SCALE TESTING. O-N-N'S BRITTANY BAILEY REPORTS THAT GOVERNOR MIKE DEWINE URGED THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO HELP, YESTERDAY.

ON N-B-C'S MEET THE PRESS, GOV. MIKE DEWINE SAID THE F-D-A CAN HELP THE STATE INCREASE TESTING. OTHER GOVERNORS ECHOED GOVERNOR DEWINE'S CALL FOR MORE TESTING.

>>BROWNS AND BENGALS COACHES TO PARTICIPATE IN DRAFT EQUIPMENT TEST TONIGHT

(CLEVELAND, OH) -- CINCINNATI AND CLEVELAND HEAD COACHES ZAC TAYLOR AND KEVIN STEFANSKI ARE SET TO PARTICIPATE IN AN NFL TEST OF ITS EQUIPMENT FOR THE UPCOMING DRAFT. FOR WEEKS THE NFL HAS BEEN SETTING UP COACHES, GMS, AND OTHER FRONT OFFICE STAFF WITH CONFERENCING GEAR INSIDE THEIR HOMES, INCLUDING BACKUP LANDLINES TO PREPARE FOR THE DRAFT.
