>>Hardin County Sheriff Investigating Death
(Kenton, OH) --A death in Hardin County remains under investigation.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office released a statement Saturday saying that a deceased male was found in the area of Township Road 100 near Alger.
While social media posts have identified the deceased, the Sheriff’s Office said this morning that they have no announcement and there are no developments yet in the case.
>>I-75 Reconstruction Project Remains On Schedule
(Findlay, OH)--Despite heavy rainfall early in the year, the reconstruction and expansion of Interstate 75 through Findlay and Hancock County is still on track to finish on time.
The Ohio Department of Transportation says the $114 million project is in its fourth and final year and is expected to be completed late this fall.
The greatest concentration of work is now occurring at the interchange at U.S. 68/State Route 15 with I-75.
All four lanes of I-75 in this section are traveling on the southbound side and will remain in this pattern until late summer. This allows the northbound existing lanes to be reconstructed and a new, third lane to be constructed.
>>Rhodes State To Host Free Manufacturing Training
(Lima, OH)--The West Central Ohio Manufacturing Consortium will offer Basic Manufacturing Pathway classes March through May at Rhodes State College.This 10-week class will be held Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and will include the Certified Production Technician credential.Students may also earn the Basic Certification, a regionally-recognized credential.
The cost of the assessments for Lima City residents will be paid by a Community Development Block Grant awarded to Rhodes State by the City of Lima. MSSC assessment costs for non-Lima city residents may be covered through another grant from Rhodes State.
Interested persons may register by calling the WCOMC at 419-995-8353 by March 2.
A NEW ORGANIZATION HAS FORMED TO SERVE OHIO ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES WHO ARE VICTIMS OF CRIME OR WITNESSES OF ABUSE, MALTREATMENT OR NEGLECT.
KATHERINE YODER IS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF ADULT ADVOCACY CENTERS. SHE SAYS PROSECUTION RATES ARE DISMAL WHEN IT COMES TO CRIME VICTIMS WHO HAVE A DISABILITY, WITH FEW CASES TAKEN TO A GRAND JURY. YODER TELLS THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH THAT OHIO IS THE FIRST STATE DEVELOPING ONE-STOP CENTERS TO HELP PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES THAT ARE COORDINATED WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT, MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, CASE MANAGERS AND OTHERS. YODER SAYS THE GROUP'S EFFORTS ARE GETTING NATIONAL ATTENTION.

>>Buckeyes Stun Number Seven Maryland
(Columbus, OH) -- The Ohio State Buckeyes held off a furious Maryland rally for an upset 79-72 win over the Terrapins at Value City Arena. Ohio State built a 14-point lead which Maryland cut down to only three late in the second-half, but a technical foul on Terrapins' guard Anthony Cowan Junior gave the Buckeyes an extra possession they used to solidify the lead. Luther Muhammad had four three-pointers as part of his game-high 22, and Kaleb Wesson scored 15 for the Buckeyes. Ohio State will now prepare for a road trip on Thursday where they'll face the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Lincoln.
>>UC Bearcats Squeak Past Wichita State In Non-Overtime Game
(Cincinnati, OH) -- The UC Bearcats finished without going to overtime for the first time in four games with a 67-64 win over Wichita State. The Shockers had a chance to extend the overtime streak to a fifth game, but a half-court shot at the buzzer went wide and the game ended in a regulation win for UC. Cincinnati's Jarron Cumberland led all scorers with 24-points, and Tre Scott had eleven rebounds in the victory. UC will get some time off before playing again on March 1st against Houston on the road.
>>Cavaliers Host Miami In Second Half Of A Home-And-Home Series Tonight
(Cleveland, OH) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers are set to play the Miami Heat for the second time in as many days tonight at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. The Cavs lost to Miami in South Beach on Saturday by 19-points and will be looking for revenge in the first game on their home floor under new coach J.B. Bickerstaff. Tip-off tonight is scheduled for 7 p.m.
>>Columbus Blue Jackets Try To End Winless Skid Tonight Against Ottawa
(Columbus, OH) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets will try to end their eight-game winless streak tonight when they play the Ottawa Senators. The Jackets haven't won since February 7th but have managed to salvage five points out of those eight defeats. The Blue Jackets will also be hosting a Crew Night at CBJ, with discounted tickets available for Crew SC season ticket members. Puck drop tonight is scheduled for 7 p.m.
>>Joey Logano Wins Penzoil 400
(Las Vegas, NV) -- Joey Logano is punching his ticket to the NASCAR postseason. Logano held off Matt DiBenedetto for the win at the Penzoil 400 in Las Vegas. Logano led 54 laps en route to victory. Ricky Stenhouse Junior finished third while Austin Dillon and Jimmie Johnson rounded out the top five. Kevin Harvick led the most laps with 92 but finished the race in eighth.
