>>Eastside Little Caesar’s Robbed at Gunpoint
(Lima, OH)--Last night just after 10:00 PM, Lima Police responded to the eastside Little Caesars Pizza on Calumet Avenue in reference to an armed robbery.Two unknown male suspects entered the business, both brandishing firearms and they held the employees at gun point.The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the business.

(Lima, OH)--There was another robbery last night at Hermie’s Party Shop at 1802 St. John’s Avenue, just outside the city limits. The Allen County Sheriff’s Office has not yet released any details about the incident.
>>State Route 309 intersections targeted for redesign
(Lima, OH)--The Ohio Department of Transportation District 1 will hold a public meeting to share proposed safety improvements for the intersections of state Route 309 at both Thayer and Napoleon Roads.
The meeting will be held at 6:00 Wednesday January 22 at Allen East High School, which is located at the intersection of 309 and Napoleon. That site has seen a great number of accidents since the new school building opened.
The purpose of the meeting is to present the proposed project and to solicit public comments regarding the proposed improvements.
ODOT is currently conducting a study of the intersections and evaluating options to improve safety. Single-lane roundabouts are among the options under consideration. The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2022.
(PORT CLINTON, OH)--THE 14-YEAR-OLD BOY FROM PORT CLINTON MISSING SINCE LATE DECEMBER WAS FOUND DEAD EARLY YESTERDAY MORNING AT A HOME IN HIS NEIGHBORHOOD. THE CORONER HAS DETERMINED HARLEY DILLY DIED FROM COMPRESSIVE ASPHYXIA. THAT'S WHEN YOUR CHEST OR ABDOMEN IS CRUSHED OR PINNED. YOUR LUNGS CAN'T EXPAND AND IT'S HARD TO BREATHE. HARLEY'S BODY WAS FOUND INSIDE A CHIMNEY OF AN EMPTY HOME. POLICE SAY IT APPEARS HE CLIMBED A TOWER TO GET ON TOP OF THE HOUSE AND INSIDE THE CHIMNEY AND HE GOT STUCK. POLICE BELIEVE THIS WAS AN AWFUL ACCIDENT. RIGHT NOW, THEY DON'T BELIEVE ANYONE ELSE WAS INVOLVED. BUT THERE WILL BE A FINAL REPORT ONCE POLICE FINISH THEIR INVESTIGATION.

>>Buckeyes Break Losing Skid
(Columbus, OH) -- Ohio State hadn't won a game in two weeks, since December 21st when they beat Kentucky. They were 11-1 after that and rose to No. 2 in the AP Top 25 before a four-game losing streak. Last night, the Buckeyes shot 55% from the floor in an 80-68 win over Nebraska to end the losing streak. C.J. Walker led Ohio State with 18 points. D.J. Carton had 13 points to go along with five assists, and Kaleb Wesson added 13 points and 14 rebounds.
The 21st ranked Buckeyes improved to 12-5 overall and 2-4 in the Big Ten.
Ohio State announced shortly before the game that Luther Muhammad and Duane Washington would be suspended. It's not clear what they did or if they will sit out for more games. OSU is at Penn State on Saturday.

(Dayton, OH) -- Obi Toppin scored 24 points as #13 Dayton beat VCU 79-65 on Tuesday night. The Flyers improved to 15-2 overall and 4-0 in the Atlantic 10. Dayton plays at St. Louis Friday.

(Lima, OH)--Lima Senior completed a Three Rivers Athletic Conference season sweep of Whitmer with a 69-54 win last night at Lima Senior Gym.
Josiah Fulcher led the Spartans with 21 points as Lima Senior moved to 10-1 overall and 7-0 TRAC. Jamir Simpson added 14 points and Jadakis Mack chipped in with 13.

(Bluffton, OH) -- Luke Denecker and Jared Piercefield each scored 22 points as Bluffton defeated Leipsic 70-63. Denecker joined Micheal Kingsley as the only boys in Bluffton High School history to score 1000 career points.

(Columbus, OH) -- Elvis Merzlikins made 34 saves in his second straight shutout for the Columbus Blue Jackets, a 3-0 win against the Boston Bruins at Nationwide Arena on Tuesday. Alexander Wennberg, Kevin Stenlund and Riley Nash scored for the Blue Jackets (23-16-8), who have won four of five and are 12-2-4 in the past 18 games.
