>>House Hit By Several Bullets
(Lima, OH)--Lima Police are investigating an incident from early this morning that saw a house hit by multiple gunshots. LPD says it happened at approximately 12:30 this morning. They responded to a shots fired call in the area and several minutes later a resident at 712 West Elm called police to report that the home had been shot at. Police say the home was hit “multiple” times although the full scope of the attack is still not determined. As of yet the LPD doesn’t have a suspect. Fortunately only the house suffered damage as nobody was injured.

(Lima, OH)--We have an update from yesterday morning’s story of several cars being burglarized. The LPD says a juvenile male was taken into custody in the early morning hours yesterday after a short foot chase in conjunction with several vehicles being broken into in the 100 block of South Dewey, just northeast of Lima Memorial Hospital. Police they found some stolen merchandise from the vehicles on the young man’s person when he was arrested. Since he is a juvenile, his name will not be made public.

NICHOLAS COCHRAN OF LIMA PLEADED GUILTY IN FEDERAL COURT YESTERDAY TO CHARGES INCLUDING SEX TRAFFICKING A MINOR. HE FACES UP TO 42 YEARS IN PRISON. POLICE SAY COCHRAN OFFERED THE GIRL FOR SEX IN ADS HE PLACED LAST SUMMER IN THE LIMA, FINDLAY, DAYTON AND COLUMBUS AREAS. SHE HAD BEEN REPORTED MISSING FROM WESTERN OHIO IN JULY. COCHRAN WAS ARRESTED IN AUGUST DURING THE STING OPERATION TARGETING SEX OFFENDERS.

(Defiance, OH)-- The Bluffton Beavers improved to 7-5 overall and 3-2 in the Heartland Conference with a road win over their biggest rivals. Bath graduate Andrew Renner led the way with 22 points. He also topped 1,000 points for his career. The Beavers are at Hanover on Saturday.
Heidelberg 70, Ohio Northern 51
(Tiffin, OH)--The Ohio Northern Polar Bears are still looking for their first Ohio Athletic Conference win of the season after losing at Heidelberg, 70-51. ONU is now 4-8 overall and 0-5 in the OAC. The Polar Bears will host Muskingum Saturday.

(Sylvania, OH)--The #14 Lourdes University Grey Wolves defeat the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers last night, 72-58. The Racers dropped to 3-14 overall and 0-8 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. UNOH will host #21 UM-Dearborn on Saturday.

(Detroit, MI) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers will head north to Motown tonight to play the Detroit Pistons for the second game in a row. The Pistons beat the Cavs at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse by two-points on Tuesday. Cleveland has now lost five in a row and will look to end the skid against a Detroit team they almost beat earlier this week. Tip-off from the Little Caesars Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m.

(San Jose, CA) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets are in northern California tonight as they continue their road trip with a game against the San Jose Sharks. Columbus is coming off back-to-back wins over the Kings and Ducks while the Sharks have lost their last two in a row and will be missing team captain Logan Couture who is out with a broken ankle. The Blue Jackets will also be looking for a bit of revenge since the Sharks were the squad that ended the CBJ's 12-game points streak last week. Puck drop from the SAP Center is scheduled for 10:30 p.m.
