(Lima, OH)--The fire that claimed the lives of a Perry Township mother and daughter Thursday is still under investigation. A spokesman for the Ohio Fire Marshall told WIMA that they have yet to determine the origin or cause of the fire and the investigation is ongoing.
And while there still has not been an official identification made by the Allen County Coroner, it is known that the deceased are Heather Money and her daughter Destiney.
A GoFundMe page has been established on Facebook and as of early this morning donations have reached nearly $7,500.

(Lima, OH)--Last night’s meeting of Lima City Council was fairly routine except for the swearing in of two new representatives. It was the first meeting for the recently elected Tony Wilkerson and Peggy Ehora, representing the Second and Fourth Wards, respectively. Council also finalized its committee assignments for 2020.

OFFICIALS AT THE CINCINNATI ZOO SAID THAT PROSPERITY, THE LION, HAD TO BE EUTHANIZED BECAUSE OF AGE-RELATED ISSUES. VETERINARIANS HAD BEEN MONITORING HER QUALITY OF LIFE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND NOTICED A DECREASE IN HER MOBILITY. THE MEDIAN LIFE EXPECTANCY FOR THE SPECIES IS 16 YEARS. THE LION WAS GIFTED TO THE ZOO IN 1998.

(CANTON, OH)--IN CANTON, COMMUNITY MEMBERS ARE DISCUSSING THE POSSIBILITY OF TURNING STARK COUNTY INTO A "SECOND AMENDMENT SANCTUARY." THIS REFERS TO A LOCAL GOVERNMENT THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW STATE OR FEDERAL GUN LAWS THAT PROHIBIT OR IMPEDE THE SECOND AMENDMENT. RESIDENTS GATHERED RECENTLY TO START THE CONVERSATION AND DISCUSS HOW THEY WILL CONVINCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO PASS THE RESOLUTION. IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED THAT THE GROUP PLANS TO START A PETITION WITH A GOAL OF 126,000 VALID SIGNATURES BEFORE THEY TAKE THEIR IDEA TO THE BOARD.

(Los Angeles, CA) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets shook off their jet lag with a big second and third period on the way to a 4-2 road win over the Los Angeles Kings. Down by a goal in the second, Nathan Gerbe got the Jackets on the board with a long shot from near the blue line, which was followed less than three minutes later with a score from Scott Harrington to give the CBJ the lead. (College Park, MD) -- The Ohio State Buckeyes will look to end a two-game losing streak tonight when they hit the road to play the Maryland Terrapins. Ohio State is dealing with the loss of forward Kyle Young, who is still out while recovering from appendicitis. The Buckeyes have had trouble playing at the Xfinity Center and are only 1-5 on Maryland's home court with their last win coming in 2016. Tip-off from College Park tonight is set for 7 p.m.

The Cavs are coming off a loss to Minnesota on Sunday and will take on a Detroit team that lost to the Lakers and has dropped four of their last five. This will be the first of a home-and-home series between the Cavaliers and Pistons this week with the second game in Detroit on Thursday. Tip-off from Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse tonight is scheduled for 7 p.m.
