>>Lima Man Wanted in Florida Captured

(Lima, OH)--The Lima Police Department says they have apprehended a Lima man wanted for murder in Florida. 30-year old Darrell White was spotted Saturday in the area of Wayne and Elizabeth Streets. He fled on foot but was caught after a short pursuit.

White had active felony warrants through Florida for Premeditated Homicide and Aggravated Assault and was found to be in possession of a firearm when he was captured by LPD.

>>Lima Police Department Looking For Armed Robber

(Lima, OH)--The Lima Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating an armed robbery suspect from early yesterday morning. They are looking for the man who robbed the Rich gas station on Grand Avenue and Main Street a little after 6 a.m. yesterday.

The suspect is described as a black male approximately six-foot-tall, 180 pounds, wearing blue jeans, a dark hooded sweatshirt and a Michigan stocking cap. He robbed the clerk at gunpoint and left with an unknown amount of money. If you have any information you are asked to call detective Matt Woodworth at 227-4444.

>>Saturday Afternoon Fire Under Investigation

(Lima, OH)--The Lima News reports that Lima fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of a Saturday afternoon fire at 305 West Circular Drive. The fire damaged both floors of the home but nobody was injured. Total damages were estimated at $25,000.

>>Makerfest Sees Huge Uptick in Attendance

(Lima, OH)--Saturday’s Makerfest job fair at the Allen County Fairgrounds established a new attendance record. The growth in the five year old event prompted its move from the Civic Center and it proved to be the right move as Greater Lima Region and Ohio Means Jobs announced that a total of 766 attendees interacted with almost 100 employers at the event. That is a 53% increase in attendance from 2018’s event.

>>GAME GUNSHOTS IN TOLEDO

POLICE SAY EVIDENCE OF GUNFIRE HALTED A FOOTBALL GAME IN TOLEDO ON FRIDAY NIGHT.

THE TOLEDO BLADE REPORTS THAT POLICE IN TOLEDO SAID ON SOCIAL MEDIA THEY'D FOUND EVIDENCE OF SHOTS FIRED ON THE GROUNDS OF WOODWARD HIGH SCHOOL FRIDAY NIGHT. THE GAME BETWEEN WOODWARD AND ROGERS HIGH SCHOOL WAS SUSPENDED IN THE FOURTH QUARTER. POLICE SAY TWO PEOPLE WERE DETAINED.

A TOLEDO PUBLIC SCHOOLS SPOKESWOMAN SAYS SPECTATORS AND TEAM MEMBERS WERE MOVED INTO THE SCHOOL FOR SAFETY. POLICE SAID THE SCENE WAS SECURED AROUND 10 P.M. AND PEOPLE WERE RELEASED.

THE N-F-L SAYS TEAM OWNERS HAVE GIVEN THE OKAY TO INVEST UP TO $10 MILLION IN THE PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME VILLAGE IN CANTON.

HALL OF FAME OFFICIALS ARE PLANNING A MULTI-YEAR DEVELOPMENT AT THE CANTON SITE. IT INCLUDES A HOTEL WITH AN INDOOR WATER PARK, RETAIL STORES AND AN ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX. ALREADY FINISHED IS A RENOVATION OF THE TOM BENSON HALL OF FAME STADIUM.

THE CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTS THAT THIS WOULD BE THE N-F-L'S FIRST INVESTMENT IN THE NEW DEVELOPMENT, BUT THERE'S NO TIMELINE FOR THE DONATION OR A SPECIFIC AMOUNT.

>>Bengals Turnover The Ball On Three Straight Possessions In Loss To Jags

(Cincinnati, OH) -- Cincinnati turned the ball over on three consecutive possessions in the second half on the way to a 27-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. In the fourth quarter with the score 17-10 in favor of the Jags, Andy Dalton was picked off three straight times with one run back for a touchdown to send the crowd to the exits. The Bengals were once again horrible in the running game, compiling a total of 20 rushes for 33 yards. Next up for the 0-and-7 Bengals is a long trip overseas to face the Los Angeles Rams in London at Wembley Stadium.

(Berea, OH) -- The Browns are coming off their bye week. They get back to action this Sunday on the road at New England. Cleveland has lost two in-a-row and is 2-and-4 overall. The Patriots are one of two teams still unbeaten at 6-and-0. They visit the Jets tonight on Monday Night Football.

>>Cavaliers Open Season Wednesday At Orlando

(Cleveland, OH) -- The Cavaliers are just two days away from the start of the regular season. They tip off the John Beilein [[ BEE-line ]] era Wednesday against the Magic in Orlando. Cleveland will play its home opener Saturday against Indiana. The Cavaliers won just 19 games last season.

>>Blue Jackets Head North To Play Maple Leafs Tonight

(Toronto, ON) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets hit the road to face the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight at the Scotiabank Arena. Columbus is coming off a pair of weekend overtime losses to the Blackhawks and Islanders and will look to get a win in regulation. Toronto won in overtime their last game and will be playing a second straight match without team captain John Tavares who is out with a broken finger. Following tonight's game the CBJ will get a few days to rest before returning to Nationwide Arena on Thursday to host the Carolina Hurricanes.
