>>Reward Offered in Murder Case
Lima Allen County Crime Stoppers has announced they're offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the death of 23-year-old Carrington Lott in the shooting at the UAW Hall on Bellefontaine Avenue on July 5, 2018. Six other people were also injured in that incident that occurred at an after-hours fourth of July party.
Lima police say the investigation has been active but they have only been getting second or third hand accounts of that night’s activities.

CHARGES ARE BEING FILED STEMMING FROM A CAR CHASE IN DAYTON MONDAY NIGHT THAT INCLUDED THE DRIVER CRASHING HIS VEHICLE, THEN STARTING ANOTHER CHASE WHEN HE ALLEGEDLY JUMPED INTO AN UNOCCUPIED POLICE CRUISER THAT HAD RESPONDED AND TOOK OFF AGAIN .
DAYTON POLICE PLAN TO SEEK MURDER CHARGES AGAINST THAT DRIVER - RAYMOND WALTERS JUNIOR. POLICE SAY HE WAS WANTED FOR ALLEGEDLY STABBING HIS FATHER MOMENTS BEFORE GETTING IN THE CRUISER AND STARTING A 97-MILE-PER HOUR CHASE. HE SLAMMED INTO CARS - INCLUDING A VAN PACKED WITH CHILDREN - KILLING TWO OF THEM. EIGHT PEOPLE REMAIN IN THE HOSPITAL, SOME IN CRITICAL CONDITION. WALTERS IS ALSO IN THE HOSPITAL AND IN POLICE CUSTODY.
THE TOLEDO ZOO SAYS IT'S TOO EARLY TO KNOW WHETHER THE DEATHS OF TWO GIRAFFES WITHIN THE LAST THREE MONTHS COULD BE RELATED.
AN 8-YEAR-OLD GIRAFFE NAMED TREVOR DIED SHORTLY AFTER COLLAPSING SATURDAY.
ZOOKEEPERS HAD NOTICED A DAY BEFORE THAT THE GIRAFFE APPEARED TO BE NOT FEELING WELL AND HAD STOPPED EATING SO THEY GAVE HIM AN ANTIBIOTIC. IN EARLY JUNE THE ZOO EUTHANIZED A 1-YEAR-OLD GIRAFFE NAMED BINTI AFTER KEEPERS FOUND HER UNABLE TO STAND. THE CAUSE OF THE YOUNG GIRAFFE'S DEATH REMAINS UNKNOWN. A ZOO SPOKESWOMAN TELLS THE TOLEDO BLADE THEY WON'T KNOW MORE UNTIL TESTING IS COMPLETED IN THE DEATH FROM SATURDAY.

(Miami, FL) -- Nick Senzel homered and drove in three in the Reds' 8-5 win over the Marlins in Miami. Eugenio Suarez belted a two-run homer, his 37th, while Curt Casali contributed a solo shot and two-run single. Luis Castillo allowed five runs over six innings, but picked up the win. Raisel [[ rye-SELL ]] Iglesias got the final four outs for his 27th save. Joey Votto went 0-for-5 in his first game since August 14th because of a lower back strain.

(Miami, FL) -- Anthony DeSclafani will start the third game of this series tonight for the Reds against the Marlins in Miami. The Marlins will counter with Sandy Alcantara, who is 4-and-11 with a 4.15 ERA.
>>Tribe Trounces Tigers With Three-Homer Attack
(Detroit, MI) -- Jason Kipnis hit a two-run homer to cap a three-run first inning and the Indians went on to trounce the Tigers 10-1 in Detroit. Franmil Reyes hit a three-run blast and Roberto Perez a two-run shot in a six-run seventh inning to blow the game open for Cleveland. Adam Plutko got the win.
>>Tribe Takes On Tigers Again Tonight
(Detroit, MI) -- The Indians and Tigers go at it again tonight in Detroit. It's the second of their three-game series, with Aaron Civale opposing Jordan Zimmermann. Cleveland leads the top AL wild card spot by a half-game over the A's. The Tribe is three-and-a-half back in the AL Central.
>>Indians' Ramirez Out 5-to-7 Weeks
(Detroit, MI) -- The Indians will be without third baseman Jose Ramirez for five-to-seven weeks. That's the timetable after surgery on his hand to repair a broken hamate bone. Ramirez was hurt swinging the bat on Saturday. The Indians hope he can return in October for the playoffs, if they make it.
