THE PRESIDENT WAS JOINED BY MAYOR NAN WHALEY, GOV. AND MRS. DEWINE AND SENATORS BROWN AND PORTMAN. THE PRESIDENT SPOKE WITH THE THREE PATIENTS WHO ARE STILL RECOVERING,

THEN HE MET A GROUP OF ABOUT 20 OTHER SURVIVORS, AND THE FIRST RESPONDERS WHO RUSHED TO THE SCENE TO HELP. HOSPITAL STAFF EXPLAINED IT WAS AN EMOTIONAL VISIT, NOT JUST FOR THE PATIENTS AND FIRST RESPONDERS, BUT FOR THE PRESIDENT AND ESPEICALLY THE FIRST LADY.

(Cleveland, OH) -- The Cleveland Indians swept a doubleheader against the Texas Rangers with a 2-0 victory in game one and a 5-1 romp in game two. Jose Ramirez homered in both games to lead the Tribe offense. Cleveland is now only two games behind the Central Division-leading Minnesota Twins as they head into a weekend series at Target Field. The Indians will send Mike Clevinger to the mound to face Twins ace Kyle Gibson.

(Cincinnati, OH) -- The Cincinnati Reds will welcome in the Chicago Cubs tonight for the first game of a four-game weekend series. Alex Wood will make his third start for the Reds since coming off the injured list. In Wood's outing last Friday, he went six-plus innings and allowed two runs in the Reds win over the Braves in Atlanta. The Cubs will counter with lefty Cole Hamels who has won six-games and has an earned run average below three. The game will be here at 7:10.

(Cleveland, OH) -- The Cleveland Browns will kick off their 2019 NFL Preseason schedule tonight against Washington at FirstEnergy Stadium. The game will be the first of four the Browns will play before the start of the regular season. Starters Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham Junior, Jarvis Landry, and Nick Chubb are not expected to see any significant playing time. Former Ohio State Buckeye quarterback Dwayne Haskins will play for Washington.

(Dayton, OH) -- The Cincinnati Bengals and the NFL Foundation are donating 75-thousand dollars to the Dayton Oregon District Tragedy Fund. The team announced the donation yesterday while praising the Dayton community and its longtime support of the Bengals over the years. Cincinnati opens the preseason Saturday at Kansas City.

Lima Central Catholic won the girls Allen County Invitational as Erin Mulcahy led the way with a 75, taking medalist honors.
