(Wapakoneta, OH)--The celebration of the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing continues all week in Wapakoneta. Tonight’s highlight is “Wapakoneta by Moonlight” from 9 to midnight. The event features live themed music, local flashlight tours and dining in the historic downtown.
YESTERDAY, NEW STATUES OF NEIL ARMSTRONG WERE UNVEILED AND AN EDUCATION CENTER WAS DEDICATED IN HIS NAME. IT WILL PROMOTE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH LEARNING. GOVERNOR MIKE DEWINE AND OTHER OFFICIALS GATHERED AT THE ARMSTRONG AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM FOR THE UNVEILING.

>>Reds Drop Close One To the Rockies in Colorado
(Denver, CO) -- The Cincinnati Reds dropped the rubber game of their series 10-9 to the Colorado Rockies in Denver. Rockies infielder Ryan McMahon drove in three runs and fell a single short of the cycle while the Reds got a two-run homer from Jose Peraza and two RBIs from Scooter Gennett. Cincinnati will continue their road trip tonight when they send All-Star Luis Castillo to the hill to face Kyle Hendricks of the Cubs in Chicago.
>>Cleveland All-Star Santana Helps Tribe Avoid Sweep
(Cleveland, OH) -- All-Star first baseman Carlos Santana hit the go-ahead homer in the seventh to lift Cleveland to a 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins. Santana's home run helped the Tribe avoid a home sweep at the hands of the Central Division-leading Twins who are now six-and-a-half games up on the Indians. Adam Cimber pitched an inning and a third in relief to get the win, and Brad Hand struck out the side in the ninth for his 24th save. Cleveland will now welcome in Detroit for a four-game series starting tonight at Progressive Field.
>>Locos Winning Streak Ends
(Windsor, ONT, CAN)--The St. Clair Green Giants defeated the Lima Locos, 9-6 Sunday in Canada to deny the Locos a division-clinching win and snapping Lima’s four game winning streak. The Locos fell to 24-11 and are now off until Thursday for the Great Lakes League All-Star break. The All-Star Game is tomorrow at Prasco Park in Mason.
Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer in an epic Wimbledon final to win his second straight and fifth title at the All England Club. Djokovic won 13-12 in a fifth-set tiebreaker for his 16th major championship while denying Federer the chance to extend his records with a ninth Wimbledon title and 21st overall Grand Slam championship. Djokovic has now won four of the last five majors to pull within two of tying Rafael Nadal for the second-most all-time.
