>>Otterbein Cridersville Resident Found In Pond
(Cridersville, OH)--A resident at the Otterbein Cridersville retirement community was found dead in a pond at the facility yesterday morning.
In a statement, Cridersville Police said officers responded at approximately 2:15 a.m. Monday to a report of a missing subject at the nursing home.
Gary Horning, vice president of marketing and communications for Otterbein, told the Lima News that the deceased person had been living there for less than two weeks.
The person’s identity is expected to be revealed after an autopsy is performed.

(Redmond, WA)-- Lima’s Watch Communications and Microsoft yesterday announced an agreement aimed at closing the broadband gap, and the rural digital divide in particular, in the states of Indiana, Ohio and Illinois. The partnership is part of the Microsoft Airband Initiative, which is focused on extending broadband access to three million people in rural America by July 2022.
The FCC reports that more than 21 million Americans lack broadband access. And Microsoft says 162 million people across the United States are not using the internet at broadband speeds, including approximately 17 million people in Indiana, Ohio and Illinois.
Watch Communications will deploy a variety of broadband connectivity technologies to bring coverge to those areas, with an emphasis on wireless technologies leveraging unused TV frequencies in lower population density or terrain-challenged areas to achieve improved coverage. The service is expected to benefit most counties in Ohio.

THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS MEETING TODAY.
O-S-U IS PROPOSING A TUITION INCREASE FOR THE INCOMING FRESHMEN CLASS. IT IS ABOUT A 350 DOLLAR INCREASE FROM LAST YEAR'S RATE. TUITION WOULD BE ABOUT 12 THOUSAND DOLLARS EACH YEAR. TUITION WITH THE MOST COMMON HOUSING AND DINING PLANS WOULD BE JUST UNDER 24-THOUSAND A YEAR AT THE MAIN CAMPUS.
THAT 3.3% TUITION INCREASE FOR IN-STATE STUDENTS WOULD BE FOLLOWED BY A 4-YEAR FREEZE ON THE RATE.

(Adrian, MI)--Randon Jernigan had four hits and scored four runs as the Lima Locos won at the Michigan Monarchs last night, 14-4. Lima pounded out 20 hits in improving to 21-10 and opened up a 4 ½ game lead on the second place Monarchs in the Great Lakes League’s North Division. The teams meet again tonight in Adrian.
