>>Tennessee Man Guilty of Lima Murder

(Lima, OH) --A 21 year old Tennessee man has been convicted of the murder of a Lima man. Yesterday, according to the Lima News, a jury deliberated for less than 90 minutes before handing down the verdict against Clois Ray Adkins.

Adkins, 21, was found guilty of two counts of murder in the death of Robert “Robby” Smith II, 22, during an altercation on the evening of Sept. 3, 2017.

According to testimony at trial, the two men were engaged in an altercation at the intersection of Holmes and Milburn avenues in Lima when Adkins struck Smith in the head one time with a tree limb, causing his death.

He was sentenced to a mandatory prison term of 15 years to life.

(Lima, OH) --Lima Police have a suspect in custody following a car versus bicycle incident just before 5:00 o’clock yesterday afternoon on Cole Street at Bahama Drive. The suspect’s name has not yet been released. The bike rider suffered non-life threatening injuries.

>>Woman Dies in Hardin County Crash

(Kenton, OH)--The Hardin County Sheriff’s office reports there was a fatal crash early yesterday morning on CR 245.

Martisol Lucila Aquirre-Murillo was found dead on the scence and Jorge Orellana was taken to St. Rita’s by Life Flight.

The crash is still under investigation.

>>Celina Police Asking For Public’s Help

Celina Police are asking for assistance in locating a runaway juvenile. , 17 year old Jordan Simmons was last seen at 1400 W. Market Street in Celina on Saturday at about 9 PM.

Jordan is a white male, medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 6'1" and 220 pounds. He wears glasses.

If you have information, you’re asked to contact the Celina Police Department at 419-586-2345.

Meanwhile Celina police are also looking for a man after aborting a chase Tuesday night.

After attempting to stop 23 year old Robert Deven Dugger to arrest him on an outstanding warrant, a car chase ensued. Police discontinued the pursuit in the interest of public safety and are now asking for help in locating Dugger.

>>Robb Avenue Closure Continues

(Lima, OH)--You’ll want to avoid Robb Avenue again today between Cole and Metcalf Streets. The City of Lima says the closure of Robb Avenue has been extended an additional day due to “unforseen circumstances,” as crews work on the Melrose Storm Sewer Drainage Project.

STRIKE ENDING - ONN

(TOLEDO, OH)--THE UNITED AUTO WORKERS UNION ANNOUNCED YESTERDAY A TENTATIVE AGREEMENT TO END THE 38-DAY NURSES' STRIKE AT MERCY HEALTH ST. VINCENT MEDICAL CENTER IN TOLEDO.

ACCORDING TO A RELEASE OBTAINED BY THE TOLEDO BLADE, THE UNION HAS AGREED TO END ITS STRIKE AND RETURN TO WORK.

NURSES WERE SEEKING AN INCREASE IN STAFFING TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF OVERTIME THEY WORK, PLUS A WAY TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF ON-CALL HOURS THEY MUST WORK. THEY HAVE BEEN ON STRIKE SINCE MAY 6.

>>Reds Cruise Past Indians

(Cleveland, OH) -- Nick Senzel and Joey Votto hit back-to-back home runs to begin the game as the Reds went on to beat the Indians 7-2 in Cleveland. Eugenio Suarez and Curt Casali added solo shots for Cincinnati, which split the two-game series. José Iglesias contributed two doubles and two RBIs. Anthony DeSclafani pitched one-run ball into the sixth inning for the win. Votto left in the fifth inning with back tightness.

>>Reds Return Home Tomorrow

(Cincinnati, OH) -- The Reds will be back at Great American Ball Park tomorrow night to open a six-game interleague homestand against the Rangers and Astros. Cincinnati went 3-and-4 on its just concluded trip to St. Louis, Philadelphia and Cleveland and had one game rained out against the Cardinals which was rescheduled for August 31st. Tyler Mahle will start the first game against Texas.

>>Tribe Takes On Tigers Tonight In Motown.

(Detroit, MI) -- The Indians are in Motown tonight to take on the Tigers. It's the first of a three-game series and seven-game road trip. Cleveland will also travel to Texas for four games next week. The Tribe is 34-and-33, two games behind the Rangers for the second AL wild card.

>>Indians' Clevinger To Return From IL Monday

(Cleveland, OH) -- The Indians' starting rotation is finally getting some good news. Mike Clevinger is set to come off the injured list and rejoin the team on Monday against the Rangers. Clevinger has been out of the rotation since April 7th with a strained muscle in his upper back.

>>Locos and Graders Suspended

(Galion, OH)--The Lima Locos and Galion Graders game was suspended in the third inning last night by rain. They’ll finish the game at 5:00 tonight in Lima as part of a double header.

(Oakland, CA) -- The Warriors look to avoid elimination as they host the Toronto Raptors tonight in Game Six of the NBA Finals.

>>Blues Beat Bruins To Hoist First Stanley Cup

(Boston, MA) -- The St. Louis Blues are celebrating their first Stanley Cup championship. They beat the Bruins 4-1 in Game Seven of the Stanley Cup Final in Boston.
