>>Shawnee Twp Woman Goes Missing

(Lima, OH) -– Shawnee Township Police are asking for the public’s help locating an elderly woman who may be suffering from dementia. 77 year old Janet Taflinger drove away from her West Hume Road residence in a 2010 Silver Mercury Milan with Ohio License Plate AM75AW. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Janet Taflinger should contact the Shawnee Township Police at 227-1115.

>>Police Still Searching For Shooting Suspects

(Lima, OH) -- On Friday night Lima PD officers responded to the 700 block of Holmes Ave, Lima in reference to a shooting.There was a large gathering of people attending a graduation party at a residence when at least two subjects in the area, unrelated to the party, began shooting at each other.

Two people attending the graduation party were struck by the gun fire.The victims were identified as a 14 year old female and a 67 year old male.Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

AUTHORITIES IN CINCINNATI SAY A MAN HAS BEEN SHOT TO DEATH AND A SUSPECT HAS BEEN ARRESTED.

CINCINNATI POLICE SAID 39-YEAR-OLD SHAWN HOPE WAS FATALLY SHOT IN THE CITY'S LOWER PRICE HILL NEIGHBORHOOD JUST BEFORE 3 A.M. SUNDAY. THEY HAVE ARRESTED A 23-YEAR-OLD SUSPECT IN THE SHOOTING. INVESTIGATORS HAVEN'T RELEASED ANY DETAILS ON WHAT LED TO THE SHOOTING.

THE CINCINNATI ENQUIRER REPORTS THAT HOPE WAS THE SIXTH PERSON KILLED THIS MONTH IN CINCINNATI. THE POLICE CHIEF SAID IN AN INTERVIEW THAT THE CITY IS IN "A VERY VIOLENT SPIKE RIGHT NOW."

>>OBERLIN DISPUTE

A JURY HAS AWARDED $11 MILLION TO A FATHER AND SON WHO CLAIMED OHIO'S OBERLIN COLLEGE HURT THEIR BUSINESS AND LIBELED THEM DURING A DISPUTE THAT TRIGGERED PROTESTS AND ALLEGATIONS OF RACISM.

THE ELYRIA CHRONICLE-TELEGRAM REPORTS A LORAIN COUNTY JURY FRIDAY AWARDED DAVID GIBSON $5.8 MILLION AND HIS SON ALLYN GIBSON $3 MILLION.

THE PROTESTS OCCURRED AFTER ALLYN GIBSON, WHO IS WHITE, CONFRONTED A BLACK STUDENT WHO'D SHOPLIFTED A BOTTLE OF WINE. TWO OTHER BLACK STUDENTS JOINED IN AND ASSAULTED GIBSON. THE STUDENTS PLEADED GUILTY TO MISDEMEANORS AND READ STATEMENTS IN COURT SAYING GIBSON'S ACTIONS WEREN'T RACIALLY MOTIVATED.

>>Mexico To Deploy National Guard At Borders

(Washington, DC) -- Mexican officials are outlining their plan to work with the United States on immigration. On CBS' Face the Nation, Mexican Ambassador to the U.S. Martha Barcena Coqui said Mexico will send their National Guard today to help control the flow of migrants. Barcena says the Mexican National Guard is quite different than America's because they are more like a police force. Barcena also predicts agricultural trade between the two countries will dramatically increase following the agreement to avoid tariffs.

>>Coldwater Wins State Title

(Akron, OH) --Jacob Wenning scored the only run of the game and pitched a shutout to lead Coldwater to its seventh baseball State Championship last night at Canal Park in Akron last night. The Cavaliers defeated West Lafayette Ridgewood, 1-0 in the Division III title tilt. Wenning speared a low line drive and doubled a runner off second base to end the game.

>>Locos Fall At Home

(Lima, OH) -- The Muskegon Clippers avoided being swept by the Lima Locos with a 6-3 win last night at Simmons Field. The Locos are now 4-2. They are off today. Their next home game is Thursday night.

>>Reds Rally To Down Phillies

(Philadelphia, PA) -- Joey Votto hit a two-run single in a three-run seventh inning as the Reds rallied to be beat the Phillies 4-3 in Philadelphia to avoid a sweep and snap a three-game skid. After a day off, the Reds will continue this trip with a game tomorrow night in Cleveland. 

>>Indians Drop Finale To Yankees In 10 Innings

(Cleveland, OH) -- The Indians rallied from a 5-0 deficit but the Yankees won in 10 innings, 7-6 at Progressive Field, denying the Tribe a sweep.

>>The Bruins Force Game 7

(St. Louis, MO) -- The Bruins scored four third-period goals to stave off elimination and force a Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final with a 5-1 victory over the Blues in St. Louis. The series now moves back to Boston for Game 7 Wednesday. The road team has won four of the first six games in the series.
